1. Self harm was confusing to me. I would scratch until I bled. Then keep on scratching until the scratches got infected. Everything would itch like crazy and I knew that scratching made them get infected and that it would create an endless cycle, bu.

Self-harm (self-harm and self-injury are terms used interchangeably) is typically described as a way of hurting oneself on purpose in a way that is generally socially unacceptable (as opposed to tattoos or piercings) that is done to reduce and/or communicate strong negative emotion.
